Use Loot with AI assistants

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Connect Loot to an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT and ask it about your account in plain language: how much credit you have available, when your next payment is due, or what happened on your account recently. The assistant can only look; it can't move money or change anything.

Before you start

You need:

  • A Loot account with a Line of Credit or Revenue Based Financing
  • The phone number on your Loot account, to receive a 6-digit sign-in code by text message
  • An AI assistant that supports connectors, such as Claude or ChatGPT

Connect Loot

  1. In your AI assistant, add the Loot connector. If it asks for a server URL, enter https://mcp.getloot.com/mcp.
  2. A Loot page opens. Sign in with your Loot email and password.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code we text to your phone. The code expires after 5 minutes; if it does, sign in again for a new one.
  4. Choose what the assistant can see, then select Allow. You must choose at least one.
  5. You're returned to your assistant. Ask it a question about your account.

Finish signing in within 10 minutes of starting, or you'll need to start again. You only sign in on Loot's own page: never type your password or code into the chat.

What the assistant can see

You choose which of these the assistant can see when you connect. All of them are read-only.

PermissionWhat it shows
See your available creditYour credit limit and how much you can draw right now
See your upcoming paymentsWhen your next payments are due and how much they are
See your recent activityYour recent draws, payments and fees

Amounts are shown in whole dollars. Recent activity covers your Line of Credit; Revenue Based Financing activity isn't included yet.

The assistant can't request a draw, make a payment, or change your account or settings. If you ask about something you didn't allow, it will tell you to connect again and allow it.

Things to ask

  • "How much credit do I have available on Loot?"
  • "When is my next Loot payment, and how much is it?"
  • "What payments do I have coming up this month?"
  • "Show me my recent Loot activity."
  • "How much have I drawn from my Line of Credit recently?"

Change what it can see, or disconnect

  • To disconnect:remove or disconnect the Loot connector in your AI assistant's settings. The assistant loses access to your Loot account straight away.
  • To change what it can see: disconnect, then connect again and choose different permissions.

From time to time, for example if you haven't used it for a while, the assistant may ask you to connect Loot again. Sign in the same way as before.

Security and privacy

  • Your login stays with Loot. You sign in on a Loot page. The AI assistant never sees your password, your text message code, or your Loot sign-in.
  • Limited, short-lived access. The assistant gets its own access pass that only covers the permissions you chose. It expires after a short time and is renewed only while your connection is active.
  • Read-only.The assistant can look at your account but can't move money or change anything.
  • Every request is logged. Loot keeps a record of each request the assistant makes to your account.
  • What the assistant does with answers.Answers about your account appear in your chat with the AI assistant, so the assistant's own privacy terms apply to that conversation.
